KRL’s Precision Wirewound Resistors are among the most accurate, time and temperature-stable resistors available. Precision resistors are normally specified when the wattage requirements are relatively low, and when high accuracy and stability are necessary. These resistors also afford the highest resistance values relative to their sizes, with values well into the meg ohm region on the larger units.
KRL’s Power Resistors are generally specified for applications requiring relatively high wattage capability, or when the high accuracy high stability and high resistance values of the Precision Series are not required. Built with high-temperature materials, these resistors are designed to run very hot (225°C, 275°C or 350°C) at rated wattages. KRL offers nine series of power resistors to choose from.

Effective September 30, 2005, all KRL products are available in accordance with the WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC, amendment 2003/108/EC). Our standard products plated construction includes a "Lead Free", RoHS compliant option.
By simply adding an "E" after the part tolerance, any product can be supplied with a lead-free terminal. All packaging labels will identify the product as RoHS compliant, and if requested, a certificate of compliance will accompany the product.
